30 kW Cummins Diesel Generator

The 30 kW Cummins steps up from our entry model with a four-cylinder Cummins 4B3.9-G2 diesel at 1,800 rpm. It is rated 30 kW prime and 33 kW standby, with 220V single-phase, two-wire output at 60 Hz, 136 A rated current and a power factor of 1.0. A Deep Sea DSE6120 controller and a Wetech WT184G brushless alternator complete the set, and the listing notes built-in plugs.

The extra capacity is useful for homes with more than one air-conditioning system, electric water heating or a well pump, and for offices, shops and other small commercial spaces on single-phase service that need room for motor loads to start.

Fuel and runtime

At full load the spec sheet lists fuel consumption of 215 g/kWh, which works out to roughly 7.7 liters (about 2.0 US gallons) of diesel per hour. With the 60-liter (about 16-gallon) base tank that is around 8 hours at full load, and longer at the partial loads most sites actually draw.

Silent enclosure

The weather-proof silent canopy measures 2,280 × 950 × 1,410 mm and the set weighs about 1,250 kg with its 60-liter base tank. It has a radiator rated for 50 °C, 24 V DC electric start, maintenance-free starting batteries with a battery switch, an industrial silencer and vibration isolators between the engine, alternator and base frame.
